This hotel was our stop for the night after a 12 hour drive! You didnt have to book online or any nonsense. The lady that runs the place was nice and made it very easy. Its PET FRIENDLY! That includes cats.
My partner and I were coming out of rough weather and needed a place to stay for the night. Kim was incredibly kind and checked us in at 3am into a cute little room. Definitely recommend if you’re in a pinch or just want some cozy nature views

On Thursday, 13 Mar 25, I got caught in a whiteout snowstorm in Austin on my way home from Las Vegas to Portland and needed a place to hole up and ride out the storm. It was nearly 10pm when I got to the motel. The lady at the desk was kind enough to go make sure the heat was on in my room and that my door was unlocked so I could get out of the frigid temps as fast as possible. The room was beautifully done in an Old West theme, the linens were high-quality and wonderfully warm, and the whole place was very comfortable. The rate was quite reasonable and the service stellar. I will absolutely stay there in future if my route takes me through Austin again!
My room was very cozy and inviting, and included more amenities that I expected. Everything was clean, and the service was quick and easy—I would definitely stay here again.
When you find yourself anywhere near Austin Nevada when running low on time, daylight, or energy, the Pony Canyon Motel is wonderful! Small room with everthing you need for comfortable overnight-- bed, blanket, hot shower, toilet, heater, a/c, lighting, car parking just outside. Plus friendly staff, old west cabin ambience.
Had car troubles out in the desert and needed a place to stay for the night. I was not expecting much, but this place really hit the mark. The rooms are small, and the shower is tiny. But the beds were really comfortable and the TV had more channels than most high priced hotels. The area was quiet and we got a great night of sleep.
